Justice:
Justice assumes such prominence in the Quran that it is regarded as one of the reasons why ALLAH SWT created the earth. The demands that the Quran makes upon individuals to uphold justice and oaths is extraordinary, transcending all bonds of family and society.
“O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for ALLAH SWT, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, ALLAH SWT is more worthy of both. So, follow not [personal] inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed ALLAH SWT is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.”
[Surat An-Nisā’ (4:135)]
ALLAH SWT has said “O My slaves, I have forbidden injustice for Myself and forbade it also for you. So, avoid being unjust to one another.” Such a beautiful verse in which ALLAH has declared that when ALLAH SWT himself shows justice to His entire creation then why can’t we do the same? Indeed, ALLAH SWT expects us to stay away from injustice the same way that ALLAH SWT does. We must make reforms to make our justice system better and make sure it should be served equally.
